Snow Fun!

We had so much snow (the most we've ever seen in College Station) on Wednesday, 12/10/08. The kids were so excited and had so much fun playing in it. Unfortunately we still had to go to school, so they were only able to play in it before school and after and then the next day it was melted before we got home. We still enjoyed it so much! It made us crave more!

We were so late to school this morning!

It stopped snowing while we were at school and then it started again around 3:30 PM. Luckily I had left work sick at noon so I was at home when it started. I hurried to pick up Rachel and Joshua and Dad brought Jacob and Jordan home from school just as it was starting to snow hard. This is Rachel playing in it right after we got home.

How to Make a Princess

I just blogged about how to make a diva. Now I'll give a quick overview on how to make a princess:

1. Put on a bracelet

2. Add a necklace

3. Mix it up with some earrings

4. Slide on a ring

5. Add one beautiful tiara/crown

6. Take a picture

Now you have a princess!

Rachel got a Disney Princess Jewelry game for her birthday. We finally got to play it and it was so fun! Whoever collects (puts on) all their jewelry of the same color and gets the crown wins the game. Rachel won all 3 times we played. She kept saying, "Ooh La La", especially when we put on the earrings. She really liked that. So we decided we were the "Ooh La La" girls and had our secret place in her princess castle tent and sang "Ooh La La" songs. We had a fun time!

Rachel's 4th Birthday - 12/6/08

Rachel's actual birthday is on December 2nd, but her party was on December 6th. She had a Candyland birthday party theme. I made her cake so there are several pictures of the cake on here. It turned out pretty cute! She was such a hoot at her party. I was very impressed when she opened her gifts. She wasn't greedy and didn't rip them all open in a few minutes. She took her time, enjoyed looking at each gift, and gave hugs for each one. A couple of gifts turned her into a diva for a few minutes and it was so funny! She had a feather boa around her neck, sunglasses on, bracelets around her wrist, her purse on her elbow, and was texting and talking on her cell phone also. Pictures don't show the whole story. I wish I could load the video. It was priceless! Well, here are a few pics. Enjoy!

4. Combine a pair of sunglasses and some bracelets
